C IS FOR CAMEROON
Sometimes you see art, and you’re like “dang, this is fresh as hell”. And everything else that is beautiful becomes secondary, because here is pure, unadulterated genius. Such are the works of Boris Nzebo, the barbershop sign painter from Douala, who literally makes the personal political by merging the two in his canvas. I chose this particular one because it hits close to the terrible events that are occurring in Cameroon right now, as the country remains on the precipice of the Civil war. Peace and art to everyone.
