I don’t know where else I could be as happy as in NYC because only here can I do international things in the capitalist comforts and safety. I just went to an event with Belarusian, Ukrainian and Russian poets. Later I’m going to a Filipino literary event so now I’m sitting in a coffee shop editing my queer Russian novel. And while at it, I sip on an Aussie flat white and eat little Argentinian cookies. Oh yeah there’s also a Native American flower barette that looks very Ukrainian in my hair but I’m so hangover from Armenian and Argentine wines imbibed yeaterday, I won’t share selfies.
