Z IS FOR ZIMBABWE

One of the best novels I’ve ever read, a simple yet searing coming of age story about class, race and gender, set in post-colonial Rhodesia. Everything, from the title nodding to Franz Fannon, to the handling of such difficult topics as anorexia, is sending electricity through my body as I think about this book. Can barely wait before Tsitsi’s new novel comes out with Greywolf Press later this year.
