I’m not going to lie: my favorite kind of art is when there is something that can be classified as a weird face. The Basquiat kind of thing. It’s just immediately funny and awesome this way, you know? And I immediately relate to the humor and wickedness, and want to continue digging deeper into the deeper meaning of the piece. Peter Mazev, from Macedonia, delivers. He’s been dead for 15 years, and yet these works remain fresh, energetic, as if a young artist just made them affected by the world’s polarity.
