Here’s another Russian candy for you. This one has hazelnut pieces fossilized in hard caramel and covered with dark chocolate. Somewhere between a hardened praline, a jawbreaker and eating ancient amber with insects inside, this candy is not for the faint of heart, and definitely not the best thing for my braces. But ever since I first tried it as a child, this candy, not really popular with peers, and more of an adult treat, has been an epitome of refined taste and, perseverance I guess?
