I’m not at all a sucker for evening gowns (unless there’s a man in them) but when done right, they can be true and titillating works of art. I also love it when international designers break out to the top of the fashion scene. And one of such recent success stories is that of Rasida Lakoba, and her brand, Rasario. American celebrities love it, from the queen of dress-up Heidi Klum to the coolest kid ever, Yara Shahidi. And I’m pretty sure that it’s the clear signifier that Rasida Lakoba, who is from the magical Abkhazian Sukhum but now lives in Moscow, has made it.
