Tanoreen review

P IS FOR PALESTINE

My dream meal. If I wasn’t separated from Bay Ridge by a long bus ride, I would eat this all the time. Brussels sprouts are one of my favorite vegetables that I can cook quite well myself, but nothing beats those crispy sprouts at Tanoreen, drenched in tahini and covered in garlic breadcrumbs. As to knafeh, well, it’s just the best thing in the world in general, but the one at Tanoreen is even better: made to order, crisp on the outside, with stretchy cheese on the inside, not too sweet, and just as good reheated. If you’re not eating Palestinian food, you’re missing out on life.
