Once in a while I see a film like this one and it’s so incomparable to anything else, such a freshwater pearl of truth and dignity, that it puts everything else, all the films, all the life into perspective. I felt horror, heartache and hope, all over the course of 80 minutes of raw, unapologetic glimpses into the life of a smart, strong and beautiful young woman who has suffered a lifetime of abuse. Let Khatera into your hearts, too. It’s worth it.
