Lina Rodriguez is a young, Canada-based Colombia-born filmmaker who isn’t scared of getting to the very core of human nature. This film is a raw portrait of family life with all the fluff, the mundanity, the belly laughter and the pain of belonging in a small unit. A family of three goes through the bad and the good times together but once tragedy strikes, its members are left torn apart by expressing their suffering in different ways. A stark, blunt, honest, yet uncomplicated film that made it easier for me to deal with my own family stuff.
