New Asha, Staten Island, NY review

S IS FOR SRI LANKA

My partner and I love walking around Staten Island, and because Staten Island is way more suburban than the other boroughs pretty much in its entirety, it’s always hard to find good food on foot. We’ve had some fantastic pizza, sure, but this time we were even luckier. We had lunch in this amazing Sri Lankan place. It serves string hoppers and biryanis but because it was Monday, they only had a limited amount of curries that you can have as a plate with rice and dals and chutneys. I had the fish, Ivan had the goat, and they were both fresh, delicious, and so good: and the two ladies serving us were the nicest. Far away and cash only but so worth it. We’ll be back.
